Shamrock Builders has been a trusted name in construction since 1967, when the company was founded by Roger O’Herren. Built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship, integrity, and strong relationships, Shamrock quickly established a reputation for dependable construction and lasting value. In the early 1980s, Roger welcomed his son, Greg O’Herren, and his nephew, George Geiger, into the business following their graduation from DePauw University. After Roger’s retirement, Greg and George became co-owners and have continued to lead Shamrock Builders with a focus on thoughtful growth, innovation, and long-term client relationships.
Shamrock began as a custom home builder, completing more than 700 residential homes throughout Central Indiana. In 1996, the company expanded into commercial construction and has since completed more than 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space. Our experience includes ground-up construction, remodels, and build-outs for self-storage facilities, office buildings, dental practices, medical spaces, and other commercial projects. Today, our self-storage portfolio extends across multiple states, reflecting the confidence clients continue to place in Shamrock beyond the Indiana market.
Our longevity is strengthened by the people behind our work. Many of our employees and trade partners have worked alongside Shamrock for 20 years or more, bringing consistency, experience, and trusted expertise to every project.

Meet Our Team
Greg O’Herren
Owner
Greg O’Herren joined Shamrock Builders in 1982 after graduating from DePauw University and has spent more than four decades helping shape the company’s growth, reputation, and commitment to quality construction. As an owner, Greg values the relationships built along the way and takes particular pride in the lasting connections Shamrock has developed with clients, partners, and the communities it serves.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys running, wine, and spending time with his wife and three children. He and his wife enjoy life on Geist Reservoir, and Greg is active in Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church. He is also a past member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society Foundation Board and has especially enjoyed the many friendships he has formed through building homes, offices, and businesses throughout his career.
George Geiger
Owner
George Geiger is a DePauw University graduate who began his career with Merrill Lynch in Houston, Texas. In 1984, he returned to Indiana to join Shamrock Builders, where he has since played an integral role in the company’s growth and long-standing reputation for quality construction and trusted client relationships.
As an owner of Shamrock Builders, George brings decades of industry experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuing the values the company was built on. Today, that family legacy continues with his daughter working alongside him at Shamrock, helping carry the business into its next generation.Outside of work, George enjoys boating and spending time with his family. He is also a past President of the Community Hospital Foundation Board and remains active in supporting Community Hospital and its charitable initiatives.
Today, George is proud to work alongside his daughter at Shamrock, continuing the family-business tradition into the next generation.
